Jo Judge

Trainee Family Therapist

I am a Trainee Family and Systemic Psychotherapist, currently training at the Tavistock and Portman. In 2025, I qualified as a Family and Systemic Practitioner and am now furthering my skills and experience through a Master’s programme in Family and Systemic Psychotherapy. Alongside my training, I work within the NHS as a Clinical Associate Psychologist, supporting young adults aged 18 to 25 and their families.

I understand that reaching out for support can feel daunting, particularly if therapy is new to you. I am passionate about creating a warm, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where people feel comfortable talking openly about what matters most to them. Building trust and helping people feel genuinely heard are at the heart of how I work.

I believe that individuals and families are the experts in their own lives. My role is to work alongside you, drawing on your strengths, experiences, and relationships to help make sense of challenges, develop new perspectives, and create meaningful change. I am particularly interested in supporting young people and families who may be feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about the future. Through my training and clinical practice, I have seen how greater understanding, improved communication, and stronger connections can make a meaningful difference to wellbeing, relationships, and family life.

Whether you are seeking support for yourself, your child, or your family, I aim to offer a compassionate, collaborative, and respectful approach that helps you feel understood, supported, and empowered to move forward.
